Hello
This is my personal book project about a little girl who found a little dragon in a chamomile field.
And then he grew up.
The idea for this book came to me suddenly, as often happens. I just drew a little girl with a dragon, testing new brushes.
Here is this very first picture:
I liked them so much that I started to invent a story about them.
I made the design of the main character:
I also came up with a best friend for her:
Sometimes I draw sketches with lines, and sometimes just with color, like here.
And with the best pirate grandpa:
Most important: ready-made book spreads. I chose two scenes, more relaxed, indoors. And more dynamic outdoors. This is how you can see the work with different lighting and different plans.
It is very important to leave enough space for the text. I love that there is so much white in this book. As if it has more air and space to fly.
